Indialantic is a town in Brevard County, Florida. The town's population was 2,720 at the 2010 United States Census. It is part of the Palm Bay–Melbourne–Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The seldom-used official name of the incorporated town is "Indialantic-By-The-Sea." Etymology The town's name is a portmanteau derived from the town's location between the Indian River Lagoon and the Atlantic Ocean. The Saxon sundial at St Gregory's Minster, Kirkdale, near Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire, England is an ancient sundial which dates to the mid 11th century. St Dials is a suburb of Cwmbran in the county borough of Torfaen, in south-east Wales. Nothing is known about the Saint after which the suburb is named. There was another chapel dedicated to him near Monmouth and belonging to Monmouth Priory. The ruins of a building 10 feet by 8 feet with walls four feet thick and traces of an arch on the north side existed on the site of the police training college.
