The station began broadcasting in October 2004, carrying the Adult Standards format of Dial Global Networks and CNN Radio News from Westwood One. The call sign KENT was assigned in May 2004

On May 29, 2009, The US Bankruptcy Court in Salt Lake City, UT appointed a receiver to take over KENT AM. US Capital, Incorporated of Boulder CO. foreclosed on Legecy Media, the owners of KENT and several other stations. It returned to the air but went silent again on February 16, 2012. As of January 2013 the station remains silent pending liquidation of the company.
